StarAdvertiser’s: Endless Summer Photo – Just a great photo

Just a great photo!

Na Pali - Photo by: Jose Magno, StarAdvertiser.comPhoto by: Jose Magno

Na Pali is one of the most majestic and beautiful places in the entire state and in my opinion, the world. This is the second year in a row I have done the Kalalau Trail on the island of Kauai. Spanning 11 miles each way, Kalalau can be regarded as one of the most physically demanding hikes in the state…but at the end you are greeted with picturesque valleys, waterfalls, emerald waters and whites and beaches. One of the hidden jewels is a secluded beach only accessible by swimming from the end of Kalalau Beach around a point to Honopu. In fact, boats and kayaks are prohibited from landing on shore. When my friends and I got to Honopu, it was empty and we had our one escape for the day. This photo is taken from within Honopu Cave with the foreground of the Bay in the distance. Honopu is pure magic as you can see in this photo.
